I have owned this amazing device for about 10 years and have opened hundreds of bottles of wine. Not only is it a great conversation piece, but this wine opener is, without question, absolutely the best for the job. The variety of cork removers that exist on this planet is truly amazing. Only two make sense to me: 1. The Butler's Friend (two steel prongs -insert, twist, & pull), and 2., this one which requires fewer steps...you don't have to remove the protective cork covering first. And, re-corking is just as easy...although I don't recall ever actually using that feature. By all means, buy one! You'll love it!

The Bronze Estate Opener is an ingenious 19th century American reproduction corkscrew that can open both standard and flanged wine bottles. Opening a bottle of wine has never been easier - one swing of the handle, the cork is penetrated and removed. To re-cork, simply reverse the motion. This stylish corkscrew clamps directly onto a table. For a more dramatic display, you can attach your Bronze Estate Opener to either our Solid Maple Display Stand or our Black Granite Display Stand. Also available: the Pewter Champion Opener.Stand sold separately. Also available as a set.
